1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the RHz Android application, the RHz Garmin watch app (including its beta), the RHz website at rhz.logic-and-light.com, and related support communications operated by Logic & Light.
App session data and website operational data are different. The Android app processes session data locally. The Garmin app also processes data on the watch and can save activities through Garmin as described below. The website may use third-party hosting and analytics services.
2. Data the Android app processes locally
The following information may be stored locally on your device:
- heart-rate variability and beat-to-beat interval data;
- session history, resonance results, and trends;
- pacing, feedback, and export preferences; and
- information needed to connect to supported Bluetooth heart-rate monitors.
No RHz account is required. RHz does not operate cloud sync for session data. Physiological and session data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
3. Android Bluetooth permissions
RHz requests Bluetooth permissions to scan for, connect to, and communicate with supported external monitors. Some Android versions may also present location-related Bluetooth permissions as part of BLE scanning. RHz does not use these permissions to build location profiles or sell location data.
4. Android exported data
You can export session data in formats such as CSV or JSON. Export is initiated by you. Once a file is shared outside RHz through your device's native tools, it may be copied, stored, or processed by other apps, services, or people under their own privacy practices.
5. Garmin watch app (beta)
The Garmin app processes breathing settings and available sensor information on the watch. Optional FIT activity recording is off by default. When enabled, recorded data can include breathing pace and phase, available beat-interval and HRV diagnostics, Garmin stress and respiration values, and session status and quality information. Availability depends on the device and the data it supplies.
Choosing Save activity saves the recording through Garmin. The app also attempts to save an enabled recording when you exit. Saved activities may sync to Garmin Connect through your Garmin device, account, and sync settings. Garmin controls that processing under its Garmin Connect Privacy Policy. Manage saved activities and their visibility using Garmin's controls; deleting a local copy may not remove synced or exported copies.
Current-session review charts use temporary data held in watch memory. They are no longer available through that review after Done or app exit and are not a persistent session-history archive. Closing review does not delete a saved FIT activity. Settings, presets, and the most recent sweep summary are stored separately on the watch. The summary can remain even with FIT recording off or after discarding an activity, and is replaced when another sweep summary is saved.
The Garmin watch app has no RHz account or in-app analytics service and does not send physiological or session data to Logic & Light. Data you separately send to support is covered by this policy's support provisions. Disabling FIT recording prevents that optional activity recording; it does not disable all on-watch processing or local settings and summary storage.
6. Website analytics and hosting
The website may process limited operational information, including:
- page views and basic device or browser information through Google Analytics;
- technical logs needed to operate and secure the website; and
- information you provide when contacting support.
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites and supporting infrastructure providers. Website analytics are separate from the app's on-device physiological and session data.
7. How information is used
Limited website or support information may be used to operate the app and website, respond to support requests, understand aggregate website use, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Logic & Light does not sell biometric data or build advertising profiles from RHz session data.
8. Service providers and international processing
Limited website information may be processed by providers that support hosting, analytics, and email communications. Depending on where you access the website or contact support, processing may occur in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where those providers operate.
9. Retention and your choices
Android app session data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or export it. Garmin data and activity copies are described in section 5. Website analytics and support records are retained only as reasonably necessary for operations, support, security, and legal compliance.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent for personal information controlled by Logic & Light outside the app's local storage model.
10. Children and policy changes
RHz is not directed to children. This policy may be updated to reflect legal, product, or operational changes. The current version will remain available on this page.
